I’m sure you session one campers will be checking the website continually to see if photos are up (I know I did as a camper). I’ll be on the mountain all week for session 2 so expect photos to start appearing the last week of July.
Until then, I’m trying to upload highlights from the week, but the hotel internet isn’t exactly what you would call speedy.

Bus Reservation Update for 2015
A camp bus will provide round-trip transportation from Portland, Salem, Eugene and Bend to Burns, OR. The cost of this service is additional to the basic camp fee and can be paid ONLY prior to boarding the bus.
Campers who plan on riding the camp bus from Portland, Salem, Eugene and Bend to Burns or one way from Burns back to desired destination MUST register to ride the camp bus by July 1. Reserve your spot now.

Chris Reed NCAA Girls Assistant Coach of the Year
Chris Reed, a Steens camper and regular staffer, was awarded NCAA girls assistant coach of the year for indoor track in the West Region. Way to go Chris.
“Reed, in his second year as distance coach at Seattle Pacific, has a DMR and an 800 meter runner entered into the NCAA Championships. The team also won the GNAC title this winter” – www.ustfccca.org
Steens Staffer Selfie at USATF XC Championships
Steens Staffers, Mike Blackmore, Ladia Albertsons-Junkins and Melody Fairchild, meet up for selfie at USATF National Cross Country Championships in Boulder Co on Feb. 7th.
Blackmore, age 53, finished 5th in his age group, and 31st among all masters. Melody won her age group 40-44 and finished 2nd among all Masters women. Former Steens Camp Assistant Ladia Albertson-Junkins raced to a 25th place finish in the open women’s 8k race won by Laura Thweatt.

Wildhorse Assault in the early 90’s
Throwing it back to the early 90’s when we still did the Wildhorse Assault. Yriarte is in the pink and MT Smith in the purple #tbt
